THE COLORS OF SPRING is an avant-garde performance art film that will interpret a tragic love story using American sign language and a viola instrument as a means of communicating between character and audience. The film and performance incorporates actual hand-processed film studies of the romantic White Mountain forest region of the state of New Hampshire. THE COLORS OF SPRING will be represented also as a performance art piece. Live performances will incorporate a viola instrument alongside live script readings with a live American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. The script will change during every performance depending on the region/area performed and will involve imagined letters & poems written between two lovers. The narrative will consist of two imaginary lovers who met online as psychiatric clinicians and decided to get together for a romantic weekend hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire. Their relationship ended tragically and with dual psychiatric hospitalizations for both parties. Currently the film is being exhibited internationally in a live performance exhibition format. |
